Comments of Cognac tasting by the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique : Subject : " Vieille Réserve ". Mr. Baudry Christian. "Nice gilt color. Large smoothness and complexity of the aroma. Several series of aroma is present. The first and more present is the family of the empyreumatic odors of the type grilled, burned. Thereafter, fruited notes are found: Prune, dryed grapes and fruit with core (peach or apricot). Finally one finishes on soft wood notes completed by the vanilla and caramel aroma. The odor of the wood of oak grows blurred with the profit of other more subtle odors and more fines (vanilla and white flowers). This Cognac presents a beautiful degustative harmony: Balance, roundness, marrowy and thermal feelings are pleasant. It is very envelopped and all in smoothness. It is a product very well in its range of price." .............................................May 22, 1994
