400 years ago: a legendary error...

...Pineau of Charentes is not only the fruit of the vine but that of the chance.
...In 1589, one year before the birth of Jean BAUDRY (see the genealogy), a vine grower, during grape harvest, poured by mistake grape juice in a brandy barrel of Cognac. Furious of its awkwardness, it garaged the useless barrel in a corner of its wine storehouse.
...It is only some years later (when Jean BAUDRY Married Andrée PARIOLLEAU!) during abundant grape harvest, which it arose the precious barrel. At the time of throwing the contents, which was not its surprise to discover this marvellous liquid, limpid, sunny like the ground of Charentes.
...Pineau was born.

A know-how of legend...

...Four centuries later, Christian and Nicolas BAUDRY always applie to respect the same error. Transmitted generation in generation know-how is always intact, with the permanent concern to obtain the same perfection.
